Cookie policy

What are cookies ?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your machine by websites you visit. Cookies are generally used to allow websites to run , or run more efficiently as well as provide information to publishers in order to improve their websites.

In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like language, session identification, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better.

Why we use cookies ?

We use cookies to provide a better user experience. For instance cookies are a convenient way to carry information from one session on a website to another without having to burden a server machine with massive amounts of data storage. Storing the data on the server without using cookies would also be problematic because it would be difficult to retrieve a particular user's information without requiring a login on each visit to the website.

We do not use cookies to collect private data.

What kind of cookies are used by 2dgalleries.com and what are they used for ?

We use a cookie (2DGSESSID) that you cannot disable . It is used to retain user preferences (language) and allows us to memorize on demand your session identifier so as you don't have to reconnect to your account each time you visit 2DG (its lifetime is set to 12 months). Its is also used for security purposes.

We also use Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid)  to measure how users interact with our website content (for instance pages traffic measurement or technologies used) so as to improve our services and fix eventual bugs. We do not share any collected data with Google.

2dgalleries.com does not use advertizing cookies, social networks cookies nor any third-party cookies not mentionned before.

How to disable Google Analytics ?

You can opt out easily from Google Analytics by installing this additional module : https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
